Overview
The Coats Maxx 80 Rim Clamp Tire Changer is supplied by Liftnow in 4 drive configurations: air, 110V, 220V or 220V 2-Speed. It replaces the Coats 80X series, including the 80XAH3 and 80XEH3, which Coats has discontinued.
The Coats MAXX 80 is a tabletop rim clamp tire changer built by The Coats Company (Hennessy Industries) in Nashville, Tennessee, for single-piece automotive and most tubeless light/medium truck tire and wheel assemblies. It uses four table clamps, a swing-arm mount/demount tool with polymer, steel and high-spoke duckheads, a dual-nozzle bead sealing system, and a bead loosener shovel with dual hand/foot control. Coats offers the same machine in four drive configurations / 110V electric, 220V electric, 220V 2-speed electric and air / and each configuration is also offered with a factory-installed Maxx Wheel Lift (the 'L' SKUs). Coats positions it for high-volume tire dealers and general repair shops handling OE passenger, pickup/SUV, performance, medium-duty truck, low-profile and run-flat tires, and dealers describe it as the replacement for the earlier Coats 80X. Fleet and municipal bays that service large-diameter light-truck assemblies and need a wheel lift or air-drive option are the typical fit.
