Overview
The Coats 90C is a center clamp tire changer supplied by Liftnow in two drive configurations. It clamps the wheel from the centre rather than the rim, so it suits wheels a rim clamp cannot grip safely.
The Coats 90C is a swing-arm, center-clamp (center-post / center-lock) tire changer for car and light-truck alloy and steel wheels. The wheel is secured by a center clamp with a manual lock rather than by external/internal rim clamp jaws, so there is no rim-clamp jaw range. It handles 12" to 30" external rim diameters, tires up to 50" diameter and rims up to 15" wide. Standard equipment includes a leverless Duckhead mount/demount tool, a Robo-Arm bead depressor, a RoboRoller powered assist and an auxiliary bead sealer; bead loosening is by a hand-controlled (point-of-use) bead loosener rather than a foot-pedal shovel. It is offered in two builds: an air-drive turntable (80090CAH3) and a 220V 2 HP electric drive (80090CEH220). It suits high-volume retail tire shops, dealership service departments and mixed light-duty fleet bays that service large-diameter alloy wheels and want to avoid clamp-jaw and tire-iron contact. It is not a rim-clamp machine and shares no clamping specification with the Coats 90X or Maxx 90.
